Inleaf were asked by commercial fit-out specialist T A Knox to provide artificial green walls as part of the refurbishment of the ‘Eastern Gardens’ at the Trafford Centre; The UK’s largest shopping centre by size, attracting over 35 million visitors annually.
This Project aimed to enhance the Orient food court, a key attraction known for its global cuisines. Inleaf were tasked with enhancing the aesthetic of the Eastern Gardens stretch by installing large artificial green walls that compliment Eastern and Oriental design themes.
The artificial panels feature a mixture of artificial foliage, grasses and small white flowers, adding visual impact and providing a backdrop for tenants signage and logos.
We installed a total of 127 our our individual 1m2 artificial green wall panels, each weighing 9.5kg. These are made to the highest commercial quality and are UV-stable and fire retardant to ensure the longevity, and suitability for a busy shopping centre such as the Trafford Centre.
The installation required working at a height of 9.5 metres (31ft), presenting challenges that Inleaf’s team met with technical and safety expertise.
Our collaboration with T A Knox and the Trafford Centre has led to T A Knox requesting Inleaf to return for additional projects.
